When trying to load Inkscape on a Mac running 10.4.9 I get a message saying I need X11. I already have X11 installed. Thinking there may be a newer version, I downloaded the latest version from Apple. It was not possible to load it. What's the problem?
Thanks, George

The X11 version from Apple is for Panther. For Tiger you need the version which is on your install DVD. There appears to be many problems with faulty X11 installations. Could you test if the command: openx11 xeyes works from inside a terminal. If openx11 is not found, then it means that your X11 install has a problem and you need to reinstall it from your Tiger DVD.
Hope that helps.
