[Linux] Inkscape 0.48 ruler graphic artifacts
I currently am only experiencing this on 0.48 Ubuntu 10.10 64bit:
Whenever I move the mouse cursor across the horizontal or vertical rulers, the rulers fill with the ruler point (triangle) artifacts. I've posted a screenshot here:

Same machine (laptop) running 0.48 in WinXP (at the same time) on a VMWare virtual machine does not experience the same. Screenshot here:

Nor do I experience this on my Ubuntu 10.4 32bit machine with 0.48.
Can anyone verify that the same is occurring on their 10.10 64bit Inkscape 0.48, or please point me to an already filed bug? If a bug is not filed, I'll be happy to do so if I can verify that someone else has the same issue.
Thanks.

Yeah, I got the same thing. I don't know if there's a bug report for it yet.

Thanks for the confirmation.
Just found the bug report:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/627134 [Cursor position markers are not cleared from rulers]
You might want to join that bug report.

Added note: Using Tobias' ppa 0.49-pre version worked for me:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/627134/comments/57 https://launchpad.net/~towolf/+archive/ppa
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:towolf/ppa $ sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get upgrade
Yep, that happens to me as well. I assumed it had something to do with trying to run it under KDE (running Kubuntu 10.10 here).
I get the same behavior on my 32bit linux mint 10 workstation.
