Georg,
Yes' that behaviour is a little scaring, specially when the work made in
Inkscape isn't saved. Fortunately the freeze occurs only for the drawing
area, other functions (and Save among them) are ok.
A huge help for Inkscape developers would be to determine under what
circumstances that bug occurs. For now I didn't manage to find a way to
reproduce it. Hopefully you'll be luckier than me!

I almost thought that I am alone on this.
Next time I'll have to check if terminating Inkscape and restarting it
will solve the issue for me too.
