I downloaded an extension from your Wiki page for a laser cut box. When I try to use it, a box pops up that says “additional data from script executed.” How do I get the extension to work?
Thanks,
JT
Hi JT,
your screenshot is a bit tiny, and I can not really read what's in it (you can link to an image hosting site instead, if the mailing list rejects your message because of the size, or even better, copy the error message as text, and in full).
However, from what I can decipher, it looks to me as if you're trying to use an extension for an Inkscape version older than 1.0 with an Inkscape 1.0 beta version.
All extensions linked from the Wiki are third-party extensions, so not written or maintained by the Inkscape project.
Extensions that were not made for Inkscape 1.0 need to be updated, in many (most?) cases, even though some efforts have been made to ensure compatibility.
So if it does not produce a result (some extensions do work, despite generating a lot of warning messages), please contact the extension's author, and ask them to update it, or update it yourself, following the info and links outlined in https://wiki.inkscape.org/wiki/index.php/Release_notes/1.0#For_extension_wri... .
In addition to the above link, you can also provide the extension chat channel link to the person who wants to update the extension: https://chat.inkscape.org/channel/inkscape_extensions
Kind Regards, Maren
