Actually there is. There are a few experimental builds there: http://inkscape.modevia.com/macosx-snap/?C=M;O=D not as many as I would like but there' simply not enough time in the day. The engraving toolkit is a quite old commit now so most experimental builds should have it (and you're right to be exited, it's just great!)
