I'm running inkscape 0.43_1 on FreeBSD 5.4 & when I go and print it will not display a config box where I can set margins. Is there anyway to set margins when printing through inkscape? I can set some options if I use Print Direct.
I'm not using CUPS because that crashes gnome ports (which includes inkscape as it requires libgnomeprint).
The only way I can print correctly with margins at the moment is to export each picture I want to a image and use another program to print it correctly. This is annoying.

If you set the Inkscape page layout to match the type of paper you're printing to, then the page border shown in inkscape should match to what gets sent to your printer. This means you can control the margins entirely within inkscape. For example, you can position the guide lines using the ruler to exactly where you want the margins, and then enlarge or shrink your drawing elements accordingly.

What about if I'm designing web pages in inkscape and I'm using an canvas of 800x600 and I want to print. Is there a way to set the margin on printing, or make it center my 800x600 image on an A4 piece of paper?
Or do I have to convert all my designs to A4 and Center them manually?

I have another question related to this.
Let's say I have a big drawing and that I want to print different parts of it in different papers. When I've had to do this in Inscape I've moved the whole drawing to fit each part I want to print into the paper canvas. Is there a better way to do this?
