Hi everybody,
I start really to like inkscape (up to now I was always using xfig for my drawings, but I was missing transparency, so I dont need really sophisticated stuff) but I am a little bit iritated by the behaviour of the arrows. I could not figure out how to make one like this: <------------> This works but is not what I need: <------------<
I am using version 0.39.

You can get it in the following way:
1. Draw a line
2. In the Stroke Style,
Start marker should be Arrow1Lstart
End marker should be Arrow1Lend

OK, I don't have this Arrow1Lstart, just Arrow1L (but I am able to open your file) so I suppose I will have to upgrade...
