I'm still using this code after almost 3 years. I'd like to get it into Inkscape and there's a bug for it[0]. I think I've now addressed that issue.

From searching the list it appears that other people are interested in

slicing, so please help me get this included.

I'd like people to test this and verify that it works for them (particularly on Mac/MS platforms). The latest code is on github[1].
