If there's a way to view a wireframe version of a complex graphic, I haven't found it yet in Inkscape. This seems to me a very common feature in vector graphics editors. If it's not possible now, is the bugzilla the best place to make feature requests? :o)

theres a RFE in for it, number 985323 (do a search in the tracker for wireframe.) feel free to add any comments you have.

There is already a feature request for this item, the "outline view"...

I'd recommend checking it out and seeing if there is any aspect of it that anyone forgot to add, or otherwise just adding an "I'd like to see this too" kind of comment (so the devs have a better idea of how much people are wanting different features).
