Every once in a while, I get a path that I can't change the node type on or that won't let me draw out both control handles with shift/click on the node. I can pull one handle out, but when I go to do a second handle, it just moves the node itself instead of drawing out the handle. I am running .46 on a Slackware 12.1 installation.
Hi, which version of Inkscape, 0.46 from April 1, or a recent development version? There has been a lot of activity in this area recently, related to changes in the 2geom library.
Alvin
Just the regular version, not a development one.

Sometimes when the control handle is under the node, it's hard to grab it. Grab the path near the node and move it. The control handle should separate.
Thanks, I'll try that.
