2019-12-19 14-32-17 PST | Victor Westmann <victor.westmann@gmail.com> | It is tiring, for everyone I believe, to always have something NEW incorrect done on translation file.
So, so far, the things Patrick told me I should pay attention in po files are:
1. Dont translate commands
2. Try to translate to 100% whenever possible
3. Remove sha1/sha2 (checksums) in general from translations
4. Translator credits string is only meant to add your name, email and year of contribution
5. Run a fine comb in your translation file for inconsistencies
6. Make sure spacing is preserved as close as possible to the original strings being translated
7. I am currently using POedit 2.2.4. Is this the best tool? Is there anything special translators using this tool do that I don't?
Am I missing any steps here? Let me know. Have a great day! Auf wiedersehen. |
