Hi

this does not seem to work: I have selected the two objects, set H and V (first with positive values, and also made another attempt with negative values), then tried all the possible alignments, but nothing happens. It seems that H and V have an effect only when the two objects overlap.

There are H and V spacing tools in the Align and Distribute dialog.After spacing two (by any method), additional objects can be drag-spaced to match.
