Good questions. The incontestability affidavits (aka a §15
are a one-time thing -- and, a one-time opportunity. If we ever wanted
to file them, we'd have to file them within this current window.
However, we would need to still need to file a declaration of continued
use (aka a §8 declaration), as well as an application for renewal (aka a
§9 application) every ten years for each of the marks in order to
maintain each registration.
In other words: once this we file these affidavits, we won't need to do
anything to maintain these registrations for another ten years. But, to
maintain the marks, we would need to file paperwork (and submit filing
fees) every ten years after that.
