I suppose there's a few salvagable sentences but it's mostly far out of date and need of overhaul.
Somewhere it should say that we are a member of the conservancy (I couldn't find it in any case) and we should have a link to the conservancy's website too. Could be something really simple, like a one-line sentence on this page here: http://staging.inkscape.org/en/about/

Either that or even something in the small print at the bottom of the page. I don't have strong feelings either way, but I do feel like we should mention our association somewhere so that people know.
Agreed, that's probably sufficient. I think if I wasn't on the board I'd probably want to know more details about what we do and how to contact us. It might also be valuable to have our voting process publically documented somewhere, but we can take care of that next time we do a vote.
Anyway, +1 for dropping the page in favor of something simple for now. If anyone wants to write up a replacement to explain to the public who we are, go for it; I'll be happy to copyedit and offer ideas.
