This is a sore point that they've tried to hit us up for a huge chunk of retroactive costs.
If it happens as they want, I will loose faith in the honesty and good-will of the conservancy. I am deeply unhappy about their tactics. Because if they can hold us to this ransom even after a rejection of it's fairness, then we have lost control over our fund-raising. But I believe we still have the ability not to sign anything silly like this so hopefully it won't come to anything serious.
And it's in their best interest really, in the long run to not burn us like this. If it's about the money, we will likely raise money in the future (more so if they actually help).
Regards, Martin

Thanks for the update.
I've got one comment. We've agreed to give 10% to the conservancy but I don't believe we agreed to give 10% retroactively to the beginning. I would be happy to go back as far as the time that Bradley first requested 10% (GSoC mentor's meeting 2012 IIRC). The Income also included "pass through" income such as the reimbursement for GSoC travel which, I believe, is not subject to the 10%. (The mentor's $500 is subject to the 10%.)
