In discussion with additional board members, this phrasing was
suggested, and board members feel this would more accurately reflect the
aim for the fund:
"Inkscape fund for improving contributors diversity"

I've spoken with several of the board members, and all think your
approach sounds fine.
In fact, it gives a bit of flexibility in the messaging, in case there
are other internship opportunities in the future.
