Re: [Inkscape-board] drafting the Representation of the FSA
Should we begin this discussion? I can put together an email for the developers list (but probably not till next week).

Once that's done, let's work together on the Representation section.

I had a good conversation with Josh and Jon at SCALE, and also had a good discussion previously at GSoC Mentor Summit with Tav.
Based on these discussions, I have a suggestion: perhaps it would make sense to start a thread on the public Inkscape developers list about the FSA's Representation section and what leadership provisions the community would like to see about it. I'd be happy to subscribe to the list temporarily and participate in the discussion as well, if you'd like me to.
Conservancy would like the Representation section to really represent the natural leadership structure of the Inkscape community. The one we have now was written very long ago, and I presume there have been changes in how the community works since then. Perhaps it's therefore a good time to go back to the developer community as a whole and consider it?
This is, of course, just a suggestion. It's really up to this Committee to decide on what Representation section it wants in the new Fiscal Sponsorship Agreement, and Conservancy will guide the drafting of it.
Regardless of how you'd like to proceed, I hope we can get moving on this last little bit and get the FSA updated.
Let me know what you decide. If you want to start a public discussion, it might help to point people to the possible structures found in the template: http://sfconservancy.org/members/apply/ConservancyFSATemplate.pdf http://sfconservancy.org/members/apply/conservancy-fsa-template.tex
although those are by no means exhaustive.
I think that would be great. Thank you for being willing to put something together (I've been less available than expected lately).
Cheers, Josh
