I'm not that fond of the S-shape and would be happy to remove it, but I'm afraid
that it may be a bit too lightweight, hard to notice, and inconsistent with other tools. Maybe as an artist, you could propose a cursor which would be convenient for professional artists and at the same time suffucientlt obvious and friendly for the newbies?

Options I could think of might include
* Change the default cursor for that tool * Option to toggle to a 'simplified' cursor * Ability to load custom cursor sets (similar to icon thems)
