Who'd like to work on this? I can explain exactly what needs to be done. I don't really have the time to handle it myself at the moment, but can provide lots of hand holding.
Basically what needs done is to install MediaWiki on our SF account (pretty easy), migrate our existing content out of UseModWiki into it, and then implement a series of Wiki spam protection measures I've documented here: http://bryceharrington.org/blosxom.cgi/2005/11/16#wikispam
wiki.inkscape.org is on freedesktop.org and I have mediawiki ready to go. All I need to do is move to a workable location, then maybe aaron you could help port the old wiki to the new one, then add redirects for the old pages.
Cool? Shall I move forward?
Yeah, ACSpike did a bunch of work to get it installed and running. I think he got up to the point of running the converter script, and could probably use a hand with that. You and he should try to get together on irc today. :-)
