Or whatever they are called. Functions like sp_item_i2r_affine(), sp_item_i2doc_affine, sp_item_i2root_affine are a fearful inhibitor for incoming developers and a stumbling block even for experienced developers. It would be really cool for a few of us to sit down and add some enlightening comments (perhaps an example every now and again would help).
