Hi Alexander. Your code works very well in my offset branch, Thanks.
One thing more to do is add the more extrapolated joins located into
helper/geom-pathstroke.cpp/h on Inkscape trunk.
To me the first option is the first one.

I could:
1. Move the file to lib2geom and create a pull request there
2. Make Inkscape trunk compatible to the new version of lib2geom
