Use of a pie chart to show data that would be more clearly presented as a bar is a good indication that the people asking these questions do not understand what they are doing ? Use of the term complex when they probably mean 'bad' seems to indicate they were not allowed to use the term 'bad' because of its looseness of meaning. So instead the word 'complex' is used meaninglessly. The ideal question may have been: - "Do you think the resulting code is better or worse if ...."
