There is a presumption that the de facto version of TeX is LaTeX. However the latest work in TeX is centered around non-LaTeX versions such as XeTeX and Luatex. Some of us prefer our TeX without the excess baggage of LaTeX. So I wonder if it would be practical to have the Inkscape output of TeX text in e.g., pdftex format as well as LaTeX format? This output would be both less verbose and more flexible in e.g., paper sizes.
Is this regarding the PDF export with LaTeX option?
I think not that many people are familiar enough with the TeX flavors to form an opinion, or to implement it. So if you can make examples of how the output should be, that would help a bunch. Note that these examples should be extremely detailed.
