I noticed that someone posted to the list regarding problems with latex output so it is encouraging that this feature is used - which motivates me to attempt some code.
I watch the list via GMANE nntp interface (are there any known problems with this?) and I'll be in touch when I need feedback or help!
Excellent; I don't know of many who use the nntp interface, but GMANE has been an extremely reliable archive for the list, so I expect it should work quite well.
