[Inkscape-devel] simplify (rect --> path) ???

Hello,

during my work on simplify output I found that simplify destroys the basic structure of the element. The output is always a path.

simplify on a rect-object becomes a path-object. circle will be path.

I think simplify should keep the element as it is. An rectangle should keep as a rectangle etc.
