Currently I'm the only one who posts on Twitter, and am willing to share the credentials with any trusted individuals via some secure method. I tried sharing the twitter creds via the repo bryce set up for us, but I don't know that anyone other than bryce can even access them at this point. Really, we just need an "easy" and secure way to share credentials for single account systems so we can increase activity.
As for Facebook, there is a community Facebook page I know of and the community Facebook group I seem to do most of the moderating on. Is there a more official Facebook page I am unaware of or are you referring to the community one? I would say let's get Twitter & Facebook more active rather than not refer people to them.
How about "We are social! Join us on Google+, on IRC, or on one of our mailing lists."
We aren't really social if we're not embracing Twitter & Facebook like we should.
TL;DR Let's fix our social media problems rather than not engage in the most popular places.
