Hold down on one of the rotate keys with the XML editor open (watching the object coordinates) and the object will quickly fly off the screen with large compounded errors in the cordinates.

It may be that XML editor slows dows something enough for this effect to become worse, but it looks like the same problem can be observed without the XML editor open.
I'm almost sure that my code is not the culprit; probably it just makes some deeper problem more obvious. With mouse, nobody could make so many transformations so quickly, and so this problem remained unnoticed.
