I believe there are some known issues with Wacom Bamboo on 0.47, but I have been able to work around them and get the pen interface working. However, on the latest drop, I am not able to get Inkscape to work with my pen, even using the older interface.
Is this a known issue? Should I write it up, given that a new hardware UI is in the works?
By the way, I love the interaction of the Wacom pen and the caligraphy tool. When I can get it to work, that is. :-)

I am trying to use a Wacom Bamboo tablet. Inkscape looks like it recognizes the tablet, but I can't seem to get it to work with the caligraphy tool. My tablet works with 0.47, after some fiddling.
Additionally, there are two GUIs for setting up input hardware now. The old one looks like 0.47, and the new one looks very cool, but for the life of me I can't figure out how to make it work.
Jon, what are your plans for this new dialog? Will it be switched off again before the release?
Specifically, what are the advantages of the new dialog? It seems like it looks undecipherable not only to me.
