One advantage of the bridge/bot was that it offered an online archive of the irc/jabber logs. These logs are missing all discussions on the irc channel since the bot died.
A suggestion for the new web site: Could we set up a bot for #inkscape and host the logs on the new web site? Thus we could control (google) indexing of the log files (via robots.txt).
OTOH we could subscribe #inkscape to existing services like e.g. http://echelog.matzon.dk/ but those logs are indexed and can be searched via google and we'd have no control over that.
Any comments?
