Jon, any chance you've had a chance to C++-ify inkview yet? I wanted to try hacking on it a bit to let it be dbus-controlled -- partly to learn dbus, and partly for a presentation application I wanted to work on. ...Eric

Hi All,
In the past I have found inkview to be a very handy tool for quickly looking at svg, but lately it seems horribly broken (see bug 1592467). Then I discovered that "inkscape -s" seems to be more or less the same thing... but it doesn't crash. What's the difference between inkview and "inkscape -s"? Do we really need the maintenance and bloat of two separate binaries?
Yes, I have looking into inkview on my list of todos...I want to C++'ify it.
And, yes, we should keep it, but need to fix it up before our next release...which seems to keep moving back...where are we at with that anyway?
Anyhow, inkview is a great test of concept and light-weight viewer with more than just inkscape -s

Sorry if I've missed any on-going discussion on this.
Thanks heaps
Tim
