The new portion of the dialog you introduce at the top might be useful as a dialog/panel in its own right, however. Would you be interested in implementing just that part?

Yes, when I was proposing the addition to the dialog I wasn't aware of the plan to get rid of it altogether... I like would like to see the widget I proposed, but I don't feel any particular attachment to the rest of the dialog :-)
