However given the tools available and the existence of fuzzy translations there isn't much benefit in dely this change which would be helpful to users. The actual impact of this or any other punctuation change on translators would only really be to throw off any statistics based on the translations but it probably wouldn't be a something the translators would be likely to complain about. (Although I suspect the translators are often too modest to complain, when in fact they would be doing users a favour by making the original texts easier to understand and translate.)

I would just like to say that (1 I'm a translator and i'm not modest (really) ) 2 a fuzzy string appears untranslated in the interface 3 we are trying to recruit some new translators to begin introduction of new localization and/or manage the unmaintained ones
-> I'm not sure it's the best moment to introduce fuzzies in the po files. Users have lived with the current strings up to now. Wouldn't it be possible to delay this change just after 0.44 ? (just after 0.44, not just before 0.45 :) )
