Yes, my initial plans were to use document properties, if document properties do not define a language, use OS language

I thought to implement it by rendering switch differently if it is in layer mode, but you are right, it will not be intuitive that way. I will try to find some other way - maybe just a submenu "Conditions" with menu items "Define conditions", "Turn group to switch" and "Turn switch to group".
