In node edit, you're supposed to work on nodes, so naturally it displays nodes for you. Just press f1 or f3 or space if you want to "hide" nodes. Or
Windows users associate F1 with Help and reaching for the Function keys is somewhat awkward, so I'd expect we will need to change the keybinding.
Could someone add this to the list in Wiki of keybindings that need to be reviewed? (must remember to add myself to Wiki and start using it properly soon)
