./configure --help for poppler is your friend :)
could you please be more explicit? can't see how that hint helps further. poppler is installed correctly and evince and abiword, for example, work fine with it. so what extension is missing? do you need the deprecated xpdf headers or what else? please be more explicit! i have no clou what a PDFDoc.h contains and where it comes from for what purpose! also, if you mean the --enable-poppler-cairo option for inkscape, can you please tell me why inkscape traps into this? if the option is not chosen, why it tries to compile with poppler support?
i will now try this option. however, your "clever" comment wasn't helpful at all!
Well, I'm sorry. I thought you'd be a little more Sherlock Homes style of a person :)
I do believe that what you are after is --enable-xpdf-headers.
you know that these are unsupported!? should i really touch them even if i am more the sherlock holmes guy liking to waste a weekend for only watching c++ code to snailcrawl up the screen?
i still can't find anything clever on your comment because it is not clever at all to install unsupported headers. can't even see why inkscape relies on them. dropping this dependency would be clever from my point of view!
sorry but...
