LPE when the LPE path is selected and the Node tool in use is
no longer present in 0.46

For some LPE's the red path is disabled, as it can be confusing (lpe
Spiro). But it should work for others, otherwise (from what I understand
from your question) it is a bug. Sorry, I can't check right now.
