Hi, I am Saurabh Singh from IIT Roorkee, India. I am pursuing computer science here.
I was doing graphic designing as an hobby when I came across Inkscape application and really liked it.
I want to contribute in Inkscape for GSoC 2020, but I'm confused about the project ideas given in the idea list. Can someone help me with this?
Thank you
Regards Saurabh

Do you mean this list:

What do you find confusing?
Thank you

I have few questions actually!
First, can my first two patches, which is essential for my consideration as an GSoC applicant, be different from the project on which I'm going to submit my proposal?
Second, by when should I be able to merge two patches by 16 March or till 31st march or even later?
Thanks and regards Saurabh

Yes, even though it would be better to have it in the same area so that you're familiar in this particular area, it's not required, the general idea is that we know you're familiar with the basics of compiling Inkscape, finding your way in the codebase and submitting patches for review
Second, by when should I be able to merge two patches by 16 March or till 31st march or even later?
Would be good for March 31, but if they are ready and not merged at this point, it's fine. Firm deadline will be at the yet unspecified time we will do the selection & ranking of applicants.
Thanks Marc!
