Hi,
There have been a few mentions of Inkscape recently on OSS sites like LWN (in a review of diagramming tools for Linux), and on the OSNews site (in an interview of KDE and Gnome artists), but to date there haven't been articles about Inkscape itself.
I'm submitting the enclosed article for your consideration to publish on OSNews. In addition to giving an intro into Inkscape itself, it takes the reader through the process of how a new feature is added to a project like Inkscape, to give some insights into the mechanisms of Open Source.
Bryce
P.S., a few months after this goes live on OSNews, we would like to also post this at the Inkscape site for historical/informational purposes.
