Hi!
Is it somewhere a good connector tool tutorial to produce similar image like this?: http://lrn.ru/~avp/images/connector1.png
I have difficulty to produce more segment path between objects with the connector tool.
When I was played with the connector tool (to produce the above thing) inkscape crashed 3 times. Here is the backtrace: ** ERROR **: file display/curve.cpp: line 1230 (void sp_curve_stretch_endpoints(SPCurve*, const NR::Point&, const NR::Point&)): assertion failed: (fabs(begin_dist - tot_len) < 1e-18) aborting...

I'm glad you liked it :)
There are several people I know of who use Connector tool extensivley, so the chance of having a tutorial is pretty good. The problem is that currently you need both Connector and Node tools to have such connection paths as show on screenshot, and so it wouldn't be a pure Connector tutorial :)
I have difficulty to produce more segment path between objects with the connector tool.
Difficulty like what?
Alexandre
Laszlo, if you haven't submitted it yet, this might make a great screenshot for the new version to illustrate the new connector tool feature - not sure who's coordinating that.

Hey Alexandre,
I am looking forward replace the Visio Network drawings with Inkscape. Where did you got the computer icons from ?
I the past I took the icons from the suede gnome desktop icon lib.
Thanks,
Adib.

Nowhere :) But if I wanted lots of stencils, I would reuse DIa's .shape files, which are subset of SVG.

Openclipart has some nice looking computer "stencils".
