Re: Inscape for Mac OS problems
I can confirm that Inkscape fails to start on Mac OS X 10.4.4
This applies both to the current version (package from the Inskscape site) and the older version supplied by Fink.
If any one actually has had inskcape start fully on OS X 10.4.4 please report.
This does not seem to be a "prebinding" isse.
Inkscape seems to partially start, by its window never opens.
Inkscape worked ok in OSX 10.4.3

I've been able to start it and use it as normal on both the 10.4.4 machines I have access to. This is with the official 0.43 dmg from the Inkscape site. On both machines it took a long long time to open the first time. There are reports from other people about several apps starting really slowly the first time on 10.4.4. This may not be prebinding but some other cache regeneration.
In any case, on one of the machines it took so long that I gave up and thought it must be stuck in an infinitely loop. I started doing something else and it later appeared. Same was true for a distccmon-gnome window I tried to open.

I have seen one case where Inkscape would load fine but the main window was offscreen. This was when opening a particular file on a setup with multiple monitors. This could be happening for you I guess if you work with multiple displays. Sometimes the "Gather Windows" button in the Display Preferences can bring windows back.
