We've already had some unpleasant problems with packages for newly introduced libraries not being widely available. Also, I would prefer it if you did not use smart pointers -- we do have an automatic garbage collector; please use that instead if you don't want to do manual memory management (I can give you tips on how to use it if needed). -mental
