[Inkscape-devel] BOOST okay?

I would like to work on Inkscape, and I'd like to use BOOST ==================================== http://www.boost.org/ ==================================== for things like smart_pointers, numeric stuff and the like. is that okay? is it a problem to make inkscape depend on BOOST?
