btw: there was a question in the translation comments: what is the difference between cut and break a path ?

The difference is for a shape with fill. See examples in the Advanced tutorial.

Also there is a new menue point: Inkscape->File->New->"layers" ??? therefore is no translation in the po-file prepared.

It's not a command, it's one of the new document templates. They're not yet translatable (just file names). I will shortly add several more.

I extended the german translation (layers, path on text, some translations left on the menue) also I did some finetuning: put the BOLD where the originals also shows the bold
