Dear all,
The conference is going well.
Glad to hear that.
I am reporting back that there is heightened interest in connector
points. I have been approached a couple of time to talk about them.
We have a <point...> element defined in svg2 so far, what is the
current
implementation status and/or what is the current estimated workload
for
an implementation?
There is not point element in SVG 2; it has been talked about but never
added. There is a "DOMpoint" defined for use in scripting.
Any other information about connectors from events in the last year
would be additionally useful.
I put together a proposal that we have briefly discussed in the SVG 2
working group. There is clearly interest (especially for the semantic
value in accessibility) and its been pointed out that it might even be
useful in HTML. The problem is there is nobody with time to work on it
now (and its unlikely to be a high priority by the browser people). My
proposal is at:
