When compiling recent versions under Windows XP and 7 I get this error in the distbase/copy phase:
##### Target : distbase ##### generate the distribution directory with all needed files --- distbase / copy copy : AUTHORS to inkscape copy : 1 file copied --- distbase / copy copy : COPYING to inkscape copy : 1 file copied --- distbase / copy copy : COPYING.LIB to inkscape Make error line 655: copy : file COPYING.LIB does not exist
Last try just now with trunk rev 14881.

I'm using btool. The problem probably starts in Rev 14873 where Krzysztof has renamed the file COPYING.LIB into LGPL2.1.txt without updating the xmls build files. The same would apply to the file COPYING if it had not been reintroduced in Rev 14874.
Please, someone who can should update the build files. Thanks.

Thank you, the build process now completes successfully, although I suppose that the GPL2.txt and GPL3.txt files were supposed to be copied too so two new lines should be added.
