SVG1.1F2 and expanded W3C test suite.
Hi,
The SVG working group is in the final stages of publishing SVG1.1F2, an update to the original SVG1.1 specification. It has just gone out for "Last Call".
At the same time the SVG test suite has been expanded. I have modified the test suite to include Inkscape output. You can look at the results at:
http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/W3C_SVG_1.1F2/harness/htmlInkscape/index.ht...
Note, I have not removed the tests that are not applicable to Inkscape (animation, etc.). Also, many of the tests are not finalized and some of the reference PNG's are missing.

Or, it will once I have finished checking for broken links. W3C publishes technical reports on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so I expect this one to be published on Tuesday.

Nice. This is output from Inkscape svn?
You need to add svgz to your server config, btw (see http://tavmjong.free.fr/INKSCAPE/W3C_SVG_1.1F2/harness/htmlInkscape/conform-... as an example of an svg that breaks).

the ones with a red "DRAFT" banner across the top

or have the incorrect revision number and need to be regenerated by the SVG WG.

Yes, well actually from Inkscape bzr.

Hmm, don't know how to do that. I just upload files to the server.

Well, something changed because now Firefox 3.6.3 renders it correctly. The HTTP headers are
HTTP/1.1 200 OK => Date => Sun, 20 Jun 2010 09:48:43 GMT Server => Apache/ProXad [Aug 9 2008 02:45:09] Last-Modified => Fri, 18 Jun 2010 11:00:52 GMT ETag => "35c610-88b-4c1b51e4" Connection => close Accept-Ranges => bytes Content-Length => 2187 Content-Type => image/svg+xml Content-Encoding => gzip
so both the media type and the content encoding are correct.
(via http://www.webconfs.com/http-header-check.php )
but for future reference, its changed by a .htaccess file, on the Apache server http://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.1/howto/htaccess.html

Opera renders the page correctly but FireFox (3.6.4) and Chrome don't.
Planet SVG Mime checker shows that it has the correct mime type.
