The new release is available for download on the slick new release page https://inkscape.org/en/release/0.92.2/, the announcement https://inkscape.org/en/news/2017/08/07/inkscape-0-92-2-release-announcement/ is up, and we're in the midst of letting the world know https://gitlab.com/inkscape/inkscape-vectors/press/issues/1. From my vantage point it was really awesome to see /many/ of you step up to pull this all together--often during busy schedules and into the early mornings. I just wanted to say wow, and thank you!

Thanks from me as well, to everyone that pitched in their time and attention to make this come together. And thanks Ryan for taking on the task of getting us organized.
This release is remarkably huge - beyond the healthy list of bugs fixed, we also succeeded at a couple significant infrastructure transitions - git/gitlab and the new web releases app. These changes weren't without rough spots to cause occasional frustrations and stress, so appreciation is deserved for people's patience as we worked through them.
Keep an eye out for anything out of date or that needs correction. Pushing things forward to get the release out the door incurred some technical debt here and there.
Next up will be 0.92.3 in a few months. The point releases have been going well, and the more we do, the more we'll be able to streamline the process. I'll post more specific direction on this later.
Looking forward a bit further, our next major goalpost is getting 0.93 ready. There is a goodly bit of stability work needed, and the earlier we can raise attention on them the better that release will be. I'll post more on this shortly, too.

I've created a page for capturing follow up tasks, brainstorming process improvement ideas, and other random notes that'd help make the next release better. Please take some time when you have some spare minutes to add your own thoughts:
