Hi all,

I comited the Calendar Generator to Inkscape SVN with only my personal tests in a home compiled UTF-8 Linux system.

Alvin test it in a ISO-8859-15 Windos system and add a patch using unicode() function to accept Latin encoding. https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/320496 That was a problem for me, then i understand and add a encoding selector for all encodings of this page: http://docs.python.org/library/codecs.html#standard-encodings

Now it works, but the user must selects the system encoding. That is not Friendly...

I want to do this encoding selection automatically. But how?

The inkscape can define the input char encoding? If yes, Why not ever send the input as UTF-8?
