Hello, Could someone tell me what is the best way to compare, for instance the English and the French version of the user manual ? Is there a text editor with an XML parser or something like that, in order to have both versions one next to the other ? Or does everyone use a simple text editor ?
I use Meld also, which is a nice but simple gtk visual diff tool. It does not do parsing, however.
As far as a syntax editor, Bluefish is really nice, and you can have multiple docs open simultaneously, but you can't view them simultaneously. If you could merge it with meld and get both diff and syntax, it would be perfect.
I'm also playing with Conglomerate, a very simple visual docbook editor, which looks to be very nice. The only think I've notice is that it's really slow to render when you change the size of panes or the window. Other than that, my first impression is that it is really slick.
