Hi Brynn,
so a sub-page for 'Develop' with the title 'About SVG' ? Sounds good to me.
I'll help, of course! - Although I'm probably not much more qualified here than you are ;)
W3C links to specs should be included, in any case. I think I could make up an intro text for this.
Regards, Maren

We don't have an SVG section for developers that I know about. And the other links I have are just 2 or 3. But maybe starting a page would
inspire
some developers to fill it in?
Maybe there's something on the wiki, about how to use the XML/SVG editor, that could be used for such a page? I'm not very familiar with wiki content. And except for this and a couple more links....well, maybe a couple of pages from the manual can be linked in. But I don't know what else would go on this page. Maren asked me to handle this, and while
I'm
always glad to help if I can, I'm probably not the best person to do
this.
I could do some searching, and maybe collect a few more links. But organizing it into a meaningful page will be quite challenging for me,
and
not a challenge in which I expect I could be very successful.
I'll start on this project, and let you know when I've gone as far as
I can.
Then maybe someone else can pick up on it :-)
Thanks, brynn

A section dedicated towards svg topics would be appropriate. We claim to be a an svg editor, not just an editor that uses svg.
But it's also useful to make it separate from normal tutorials and help. It's not really advanced, but it is super technical.
Do we have an SVG section for Developers? It'd be good for there with any other svg related text?

Hi Martin and Friends, The last link on the Books and Manuals page has recently come to my attention, which is neither a book or a manual: http://www.learnsvg.com/. Maren and I were discussing it, and thought we might need to put the question to the devel list. But I thought well let's ask Martin first. My first thought was to just drop it from the website, being
about
much more advanced use of SVG than most Inkscape users would be interested in. My second thought was to add another section to the Learn page,
with
links to info like that (because I have a few more links to info on SVG coding (including for animation, on my site, that could be used here). Or if not on the Learn page, a new page for Learn menu, although I'm not sure if there's enough info for a whole new page. Another one of our thoughts, was add the link to the About SVG section of developer faq on the wiki. And I think we're pretty open for other suggestions, as
well. The
only thing I am sure of, is that it probably does not belong on the
Books
and Manuals page :-) Thoughts, suggestions?
Thanks, brynn
